Competition Dog Training Weekend in Tucson!

Well, we have announced our next "Weekend Training Retreat' to be held in Sonoita, Arizona!  Visit southern Arizona, at 4.800' elevation during the start of monsoons (coolest part of the year for desert dwellers!).

Tami McLeod & Chris Vaughn are Tucson dog trainers who will be offering five coaching sessions over the course of a weekend for competitive obedience, problem solving, and protection dog training for both Ringsport and IPO (formerly known as schutzhund).  Only a hand full of dogs will be enrolled in this semi private training weekend.  This is the second "Weekend Training Retreat" scheduled for this year, with the first being a success drawing dog trainers from southern California, New Mexico, Utah, and the Phoenix area.

Come join us on JULY 17-19, 2015 for a weekend of socializing, training, analyzing training theory and well….more training!  We will begin on Friday afternoon, and continue throughout the weekend with both morning and afternoon sessions.

Sonoita has several area eateries, bed and breakfasts, as well as hiking, camping, and biking areas.  We suggest making reservations at the Stage Stop Inn in Patagonia, Arizona, as it is a dog friendly lodging option with ground floor level access for the pooches.  Our local coffee hang out is within walking distance of the Stage Stop Inn, as well as a few local restaurants (check out the Velvet Elvis!).

For those interested in camping options, the Coronado National Forest is nearby, as is Patagonia Lake (for those who prefer less rustic camping).

This weekend dog training retreat will allow an intensive work shop with trainer Tami McLeod, Leerburg's newest online instructor.  Learn various luring techniques, the reactionary vs. thinking state of mind concept that Tami teaches in her workshops, how to develop rear end disengagement, drive development, bite development, and much more!  Competition preparation coaching is also covered.

Tami has competed in multiple national championshipsat the IPO III level with several different dogs over the years, received "V" ratings in all three phases from club level through national level, earned over 100 working dog titles in AKC obedience and predominantly schutzhund (IPO), as well as a former world team member to Europe.  Chris is a long time working dog enthusiast and Malinois breeder.  His skill set lies in bringing along dogs by building confidence, create power and doing so in a non conflicting way.

Join us on July 17-19th for some dog training fun.   All ages, levels, and disciples welcome!  $250/up to two dogs for the weekend.  Only four working registrants accepted.
